NMS

Our Network Management System, a SuperNMS, monitors and manages any network devices, wireless or wireline, with no regard to different equipment or manufacturers equipment management systems.

Since it was developed in tandem with dBOSS^TM, it is a completely integrated OSS/BSS/NMS platform with the capability of providing a carrier’s NOC with a single point of monitoring and access for all equipment deployed within the network. While some equipment vendors need “encouragement” to support this approach to network operations, most can be convinced of the validity and necessity of a carrier requiring a single, integrated Network Management platform.

All products and services can be Provisioned, Managed and Monitored via the SuperNMS and in conjunction with dBOSS^TM and the need for multiple NMSes and EMSes is eliminated. RidgeviewTel’s SuperNMS has the flexibility to allow the carrier to utilize the best network equipment available both today and tomorrow enabling them to bring the most advanced services to its customers.

Monitor & Manage Infrastructure
Depending on the criteria entered, the NMS will show all the networks that can be accessed as well as providing some immediate information such as the general health of the network, high-level alarm status, backhaul performance for any given network, and firmware level detail level of firmware is running on the local NMS platform.

Alarm & Event Management
The Alarms & Events monitor in NMS gives the NOC operator a quick view of any events that might be affecting the health of the network or the performance of a given customer.

Performance & Usage Metrics
Providing the NOC operator with several completely different perspectives and unique approaches to the performance information enhances the NOC operator’s understanding and quality of debugging depth, and improves the NOC operator’s ability to ask the right questions about network performance. There are a significant number of online measurement reports as well as generated reports including: traffic, CPU Usage, and Ping Latency. The right tools educate while informing the user.
