Our Element Monitoring System monitors and manages wireless network devices no matter the type of equipment or manufacturers equipment management systems. Since it was developed alongside dBOSSTM, it is a completely integrated with the OSS/BSS/NMS platform and provides the NOC with the ability to manage individual wireless broadband elements of your network as well configure the customer’s service and bandwidth thresholds.

Bandwidth utilization is monitored and reported including the amount of backhaul bandwidth utilized in both directions for each second of that minute. The format of these records can be easily imported into Excel for analysis and reporting.

Base & Subscriber Management
Due to the integration with dBOSSTM the Access Point, Base Stations, and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE)/Subscriber Station (SS) page of the NMS is automatically updated every time a customer is added and the monitoring of that customer begins immediately and automatically.

The Provisioning process in dBOSSTM works in an integrated fashion with the SuperNMS as well as with Asset Management to provision service to a customer. Also, the customer record in dBOSSTM is available to the NOC operator so they are not required to leave the NMS and move over to dBOSSTMto access or modify customer information. Customer bandwidth may be monitored and managed on an individual customer basis with integration.

Alarm & Event Management
A Network Monitoring process constantly monitors each device on the network. This Traffic Enhancement Server then reports to a centralized monitoring process. Detection of any issues including an off-line network device triggers alarms and email notifications to the Network Operations Center and infrastructure personnel responsible for a given market area.

Additionally, other Network services such as Domain Name Servers and HTTP requests are polled periodically to ensure that they are operating properly. Any high deviations in response time trigger notification.
