Billing
In the Configuration module of dBOSS there is a powerful capability to define the operational aspects of the billing engine. The billing configuration is automatically and immediately available as an option for a customer and describes certain service level elements associated with and provided to that customer. N number of Service Plans can be described and associated to N number of Billing Categories. Additionally, recurring and non-recurring elements can be defined in the Service Plans. dBOSS’ billing system has complete flexibility as to the types of services for which it can bill including such services as VoIP, Hot Spots, Electronic Meter Reading services and just about anything you would like to provide your customers.

Invoicing
Invoices are associated with billing instances linked to a customer. The Invoicing function keeps track of all customers’ billing activity and all invoices can be accessed directly from the billing instance within the customer record. Invoices can be presented, reviewed, printed and cleared directly from the “View Invoices” function associated with a billing instance. Upon successful completion of an electronic payment, invoices are automatically cleared. When manual methods are used, the billing department accesses and updates the record when the funds have been received and cleared.

dBOSS incorporates a rules capability allowing you to dictate that a customer can have only N number of outstanding invoices for broadband services. When this number is met, the customer is automatically redirected to a self-service payment webpage. This is the only page the customer will be allowed to access until their invoices are cleared. They can either clear the invoices themselves online or contact your billing department to work out the details.

Reports

dBOSS provides a powerful and flexible report creation function as any data contained in the dBOSS database can be accessed. Columns of the report can be ordered and reordered to suit the requirements of the individual report needed. Any combination of data elements can be sorted on, in any cascading order, whether or not they are going to be displayed in the finished report. Additionally, powerful filters can be applied to the reports for better data selection. The reporting function is very straightforward and new or modified reports can be generated and run in minutes. The reports can be viewed online and also generated as CSV export files that can be automatically imported into an Xcel spreadsheet allowing further analysis.
